Like many paintings to be found in the art world, this is painted over an existing canvas that the artist deemed a failure. The very textured ocean green/blue was painted over the failed canvas to give it lots of colour. The smudges of yellows, reds and blues invites viewers to think of fish or other living creatures swimming in one direction, perhaps to their home ground for spawning.
